The readers had the opportunity to win a customized travel pouch worth 65 euro. The only thing they had to do is explain why they should be elected. The election of the three winners was in july. I will tell you more about the outcome in my next post.
In The march edition of flying Dutchman of this year, I was featured on ,gadget page of the Flying Dutchman. The Flying Dutchman is the magazine that KLM sends to all her frequent flyers every 3 months. As they thought that the Travelher formula is a perfect match with the interests of their frequent flyers - and with this I totally agree - I got a free editorial in the glossy magazine.

I am really excited! For the coming month my bags will be featured on the site of Columbus magazine! To win one of my packages surf to http://www.columbusmagazine.nl/acties.html! The Columbs site is one of my favourites for all sorts of travel information: http://www.columbusmagazine.nl/ I just finished my new webshop. I had to transfer to mijnwinkel.nl to improve my payment options. In the new system it will be easier to add and edit new products leaving me more time to make new items, I am really excited about it and really would like to know how your experience will be with the site.
Please do not hesitate to let me know so I can keep improving the site! If you choose to order something I can offer you a discount of 20% till march 11th 2011. Use the following code: 108umf Happy shopping! Hoewel summier, zijn er hier wat foto's van mijn tassen tijdens de modeshow op de nationale hoedendag.http://www.brijn.eu/demo/evenementen/hoedendag-2011/recentie-2011
Some pics of the Dutch hats day fashion show!!!http://www.brijn.eu/demo/evenementen/hoedendag-2011/recentie-2011 I have never seen so many beautiful hats on one day! Last saturday the Dutch society of hat designers held their annual convention in Utrecht. These are the artist that make the hats that we get a glimpse of on the third Saturday in September. I must confess that I expected all the hats to be slightly overdone, not of the kind that you might want to wear in your daily routine. But I could not have been more mistaken! Some of the hats were so delicately crafted that I wish I was wearing them instead.
I was honored with an invitation to show a selection of my bags during the fashion show that was part of the convention. Seeing my bags showed by these beautiful ladies was a real treat. I was not able to make any pictures, but as soon as I get some I will post them here!!!! Check out the announcement for the show: http://www.brijn.eu/demo/evenementen/hoedendag-2011/modeshow-2011 This is a sample of the pictures that Eric Fecken (or Eric Fecken Fotografie) took for me for publicity reasons!
I am so excited! in the December monthly of Global Connections a story about me and my bags was published. Global Connecions is an organization that supports expats and expat families. There are more then 50 organizations worldwide affiliated with GC.
Here is a copy of the article: and this is the link: http://www.global-connection.info/index/details/666 'Travelher': Bags of creative juices Monique Rhuggenaath’s life has taken an unexpected twist. In 2007, the lawyer with a self-confessed ‘fabric fetish’ gave up her job to relocate to Mumbai. There, the expat partner began to make bags and pouches out of the beautiful Indian fabrics. To promote my webshop I approached a few local businesses. A fews shop in my neighborhood agreed to place my special display at their checkout. When I approached. Schiebroek Travel agency the owner even suggested to sell my passport covers! We have placed a special display in the showcase with a nice selection of my passport covers. I you happen to pass by do check them out and while you are there, check out their travel destinations! They cover all possible destinatios and being an independent travel agent they are not bound by touroperators regulations. You will be sure that when they advice you on your next trip, they will only have your personal wishes in mind. This is their website: http://www.itac.nl/reisbureauschiebroek/home.aspx
